Addressing resilience as a key topic in our organization has been extremely beneficial. I already recommended this program and will do it again.
Patrick Oltramare, CEO, Swisscaution
Pre-intervention
Swisscaution, a Swiss insurance company with 120 employees, came out of the 2020 pandemic with a clear question from its CEO: how do you turn resilience from a crisis response into a permanent organizational competency? The pandemic had made the link between employee wellbeing and business performance impossible to ignore. But Patrick Oltramare wanted more than awareness — he wanted a structured resilience program with measurable outcomes and the long-term commitment to see it through.
Intervention
- Co-designed a long-term resilience strategy with leadership before any training began, aligning on goals, KPIs, and what a resilient workplace culture would look like in practice
- Built a 3-year employee resilience program structured around two assessments per year, giving leadership a consistent, data-driven view of organizational wellbeing
- Year 1: company-wide introductory keynote, a webinar series for all employees, and dedicated resilience training sessions for the management team
- Year 2: refresher sessions for existing staff and onboarding sessions for new joiners, keeping the program alive as the organization evolved
- Year 3: thematic resilience workshops for all employees, plus targeted sessions to develop a cohort of internal resilience champions
Post-intervention
- Swisscaution’s resilience score reached 20% above the corporate average across participating teams
- Five teams tracked with specific insights and reporting, giving managers visibility beyond organization-wide data
- 30 months of sustained engagement — a resilience program that became part of how the organization develops and supports its people, not a one-off initiative
